LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- An off night by Angel McCoughtry wasn't enough to slow down the Louisville Cardinals.

Keshia Hines scored 18 points to lead Louisville (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 10 AP) to a 95-72 win over Central Michigan on Monday night.

Becky Burke added a career-high 17 points, Candyce Bingham had 14, and Brandie Radde had a season-high 13 for the Cardinals (12-1).

Shonda Long led the Chippewas (7-5) with 18, and Kaihla Szunko had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

McCoughtry was limited by foul trouble and poor shooting. She played only 15 minutes and left the game for good with four fouls, with the Cardinals leading 88-65 with 3:36 to play in the game. She had four points, all from the free-throw line, and was 0-for-9 from the floor.

"You're not going to find one player that can do what Angel does," coach Jeff Walz said. "I think it actually gives us a lot of hope as a program, as a team, to know that we can still win games and score points without Angel having to score 30."

McCoughtry has scored 28 or more four times this season.

"We definitely executed well during the stretch with Angel on the bench," Radde said. "I think we're doing a much better job, the team as a whole, just getting into a rhythm and executing well."

The Cardinals blocked nine shots, had 10 steals, and forced 22 turnovers. The Chippewas used a full-court press during much of the game but it only seemed to annoy the Cardinals.

"We like to play that way but this is really the first team that has pressed us," Walz said. "We are a team that really tries to press a lot ourselves, so we work against it a lot."

The Cardinals and Chippewas played in the second game of the night in Louisville's Marriott Classic.

Morehead State beat New Hampshire, 73-46, in the first game.

The Classic continues Tuesday with Louisville playing New Hampshire, and CMU playing Morehead State.
