LARAMIE, Wyo. -- UNLV blew an 11-point lead in the second half, but rallied in the final minutes to beat Wyoming 71-64 on Saturday.
Erica Helms scored 23 points for the Rebels. Hillary Carlson scored 20 points and Megan McGuffey added 18 for Wyoming (0-3, 8-8).
UNLV built a 50-39 lead with 12 minutes to play, but McGuffey scored nine points as the Cowgirls ran off 13 unanswered for their first lead since late in the first half. The game was tied at 60-60 before Latoya Hunt hit a 3-pointer for the Rebels. UNLV never trailed again, closing on an 8-2 run.
Shamela Hampton scored 11 points for UNLV and Dominique Harris added 10. The Rebels dominated the boards with a 49-36 rebounding edge, including 15 offensive rebounds.
