MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Ashley Sweat scored 18 points and Kansas State (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Nebraska 51-40 on Tuesday night.

Shalin Spani made three 3-pointers a crucial second-half run for the Wildcats (18-1, 5-1 Big 12), who only trailed in the second half one other time this season.

Cory Montgomery led the Huskers (10-9, 1-5) with a game-high 21 points.

Nebraska controlled the first half, briefly yielding the lead to Kansas State before Montgomery scored all of the points in a 9-2 run on the way to a 23-21 halftime lead.

But after Montgomery scored two points to open the second half, the Wildcats went on a 24-6 run to go ahead 45-31.

Kansas State led by double digits the rest of the way.
