AMES, Iowa -- Heather Ezell was 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the last 35 seconds and finished with 19 points as Iowa State (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) upset No. 14 Kansas State (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) 60-50 on Saturday in the Big 12 Conference.
Ezell was just 3-for-7 from the field, but she hit a big 3-pointer late in the game and was 11-for-12 from the free throw line, helping the Cyclones (16-4, 4-2) hand Kansas State (18-2, 5-2) just its second loss. The Wildcats also were beaten by then-No. 3 Oklahoma.
Shalee Lehning scored 15 points and Ashley Sweat added 14 for Kansas State.
Ezell scored 12 points in the Cyclones' 19-8 run down the stretch. Nicky Wieben was the only other ISU player in double figures with 13 points.
