ALBANY, N.Y. -- Stephanie Geehan scored 12 points and added eight rebounds and seven blocks as third-seeded Fairfield beat seventh-seeded Siena 61-55 in overtime in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals Friday.
Baendu Lowenthal added 18 points, including the go-ahead goal, for the Stags (18-12, 13-6 MAAC).
Heather Stec had 18 points and 16 rebounds for the host Saints (10-18, 9-10 MAAC), who also got 16 points from Serena Moore.
Siena was held scoreless in overtime. After Fairfield failed to hit four straight free throws in the final seconds, Siena's Allie Lindemann missed two 3-point tries in the final 30 seconds that could have tied the game.
Fairfield led for the entire first half, but saw its edge whittled to 34-29 at the break following an 11-0 Siena run.
Fairfield faces second-seeded Canisius in Saturday's semifinal round.
