LOS ANGELES -- Sami Whitcomb scored 28 points and Laura McLellan had 15 points and seven rebounds to help Washington rout Oregon 69-43 in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament on Thursday night.
Whitcomb made a career-high six 3-pointers for the Huskies (8-21) and was one point shy of her career high.
Washington, which hasn't won a conference tournament game since 2005, advanced to play No. 12 California in the quarterfinals Friday. The Golden Bears won both regular season meetings against the Huskies by an average of 29 points.
Ellie Manou led Oregon (9-21) with 15 points and Micaela Cocks added 13.
The Ducks swept the season series for the first time since 2000-01, but made just 30 percent of their field goals.
Washington led by 26 in the second half and had 10 steals.
The Huskies made 8-of-12 free throws to take a 32-24 halftime lead.
