BERKELEY, Calif. -- Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 15 points, freshman DeNesha Stallworth added 14 points and California (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) defeated Colorado State 78-44 on Saturday in the Colliers International Classic.

Gennifer Brandon, another of Cal's talented quintet of freshmen, had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Golden Bears (4-2), who had dropped two of three including a 12-point loss to No. 3 Ohio State. Stallworth added seven rebounds and four assists.

Cal coach Joanne Boyle needs only one more win to become the second women's coach in school history to reach the 100-victory mark.

Meghan Heimstra had 11 points and 11 rebounds, her fourth double-double this season, to lead Colorado State (5-3). Kim Mestdagh added 12 points.
