GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Allison Hightower scored 19 points, Courtney Jones and LaSondra Barrett had 11 apiece and No. 23 LSU cruised to a 70-30 victory over Florida on Thursday night.

The Tigers (16-7, 5-6 Southeastern Conference) led by as much as 43 points in the second half en route to their 10th victory in the last 11 meetings against the Gators. LSU shot 47 percent from the field, including 7 for 11 from 3-point range.

Florida (13-11, 6-5) had one of the worst offensive performances in school history. The Gators shot just under 20 percent from the field, including 1 for 19 on 3s. The 30 points were the fewest scored in an SEC game in school history, eclipsing the previous mark set in a 69-34 loss to LSU on Feb. 22, 1986.
