WASHINGTON -- Sugar Rodgers scored 11 of her 16 points in the second half and Georgetown (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) forced 23 turnovers to beat South Florida 54-50 on Wednesday night.

Jaleesa Butler scored 10 points for the Hoyas (21-4, 10-2 Big East), who overcame a nine-point first half deficit and then let a 10-point second half lead slip away before going ahead for good at 49-48 with 4:04 remaining on a 3-pointer by Shanice Fuller.

Jessica Lawson scored the final nine points for the Bulls and her basket with 34 seconds remaining cut the lead to 52-50, but Monica McNutt sank two free throws for the Hoyas with 16.5 seconds left to close out the scoring.

Allyson Speed hit six from beyond the arc and scored a career-high 20 points for the Bulls (14-11, 5-9), while Lawson finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The Bulls played in their third straight road game and have lost three of four games overall.

Speed's fourth 3-pointer of the first half gave the Bulls a 19-10 with 5:40 remaining, but the Hoyas forced 17 turnovers in the half and went on a 16-1 run for a 26-20 advantage after the first 20 minutes.
