NEW YORK -- Shenneika Smith scored 17 points and St. John's (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) routed Manhattan 77-51 on Tuesday night.

Sky Lindsay and Coco Hart each added 12 for the Red Storm (2-1), who ran out to a 40-19 halftime lead.

Abby Wentworth scored 14 points and Lindsey Loutsenhizer added 11 for the Jaspers (1-1).

St. John's scored first on Smith's layup, led 11-2 early and never trailed. The Red Storm scored 25 of their first-half points off of Manhattan turnovers and closed the half on a 19-6 run.

They led by as many as 28 points in the second half.
