Ashleigh Fontenette, Chassidy Fussell each score 20 points in win

AUSTIN, Texas -- Ashleigh Fontenette and Chassidy Fussell each scored 20 points to lead Texas (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 17 AP) to an 82-68 victory over Idaho State on Wednesday.

Two other players scored in double-figures for the Longhorns (4-0) against the Bengals (3-3). Kathleen Nash had 17 and Yvonne Anderson added 11 for Texas.

Idaho State's scrappy defense kept the Bengals within striking distance for most of the game, but Texas held tight to the lead in the second half. Usually a sharp-shooting team with a .423 mark with 3-pointers, Texas struggled from beyond the arc making just 4 of 26. But free throws ultimately helped the Longhorns command the game as they went 16-of-19 from the line.

Chelsea Pickering had 18 points and Lindsey Reed and Ashleigh Vella each added 12 for Idaho State.
