FREEPORT, Bahamas -- Cierra Bravard had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Florida State (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) to a 68-61 win over Alabama on Friday night in the Junkanoo Jam.
The junior was one point short of her previous career high.
With the game tied at 53, Florida State (5-0) took control, outscoring Alabama 15-8 down the stretch. A 3-pointer by Kaneisha Horn cut the lead to three with 47.6 seconds remaining, but four free throws by Bravard sealed the win for the Seminoles.
Tierney Jenkins had 17 points and 10 rebounds while Horn added 14 points for Alabama (5-1), which lost for the first time this season.
The Seminoles will face Arizona State in the championship game on Saturday night.
