Oklahoma's hot second-half shooting enough to beat Gardner-Webb

    Associated Press

NORMAN, Okla. -- Danielle Robinson scored 18 points and Oklahoma (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) shrugged off some first-half shooting woes to defeat Gardner-Webb 84-75 on Saturday.

The Sooners (5-0) shot 32 percent in the first half but 57 percent in the second to win their second game of the Basketball Travelers Invitational.

Joanna McFarland had 14 points and a game-high seven rebounds for Oklahoma. Freshman Aaryn Ellenberg scored 15.

The Sooners outrebounded Gardner-Webb 41-32 and still led by nine points at halftime despite their poor shooting.

Dominique Hudson led all scorers with 25 points for Gardner-Webb (2-3). Twin sister Monique Hudson added 10 points and Brianna Dillard scored a career-high 19.
