    No. 13 Georgetown handles Wake Forest after 24-5 run

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Sugar Rodgers scored 20 points to help Georgetown (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP) beat Wake Forest 64-49 on Saturday night.

    Monica McNutt and Tia McGee added 12 points apiece for the Hoyas (7-1), who have won three straight. Georgetown turned 23 Wake Forest turnovers into 27 points.

    The Hoyas closed the first half with a 24-5 run and led 30-20 at the break.

    Lakevia Boykin scored 16 points for the Demon Deacons (5-3), who outrebounded Georgetown 41-31 but have lost three of five. Brittany Waters had 14 points and Sandra Garcia finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
