Lyndsay Harris helps No. 24 Arkansas roll through Furman

    Associated Press

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Lyndsay Harris scored 16 points and hit four 3-pointers, all in the first half, to lead Arkansas (No. 24 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) to an 88-47 win over Furman on Tuesday night.

Ashley Daniels had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Razorbacks (12-0).

The game was Arkansas' first since defeating then-No. 15 Oklahoma on Dec. 19 and its final nonconference matchup before opening Southeastern Conference play. The 12-0 start is the second-best in school history, only behind a 15-0 start three seasons ago.

Arkansas opened on a 19-4 run, capped by jumper by Keira Peak. The Razorbacks held the Paladins (6-6) to 30.3 percent shooting in the first half on their way to a 44-23 halftime lead.

Kelly O'Connor led Furman with 10 points.

Sarah Watkins scored 12 points for Arkansas, Quistelle Williams had 11 and C'eira Ricketts added 10.
