    Florida St. uses late 15-2 run to stop Minnesota

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Junior guard Alexa Deluzio scored 17 points to lead Florida State (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) to a 68-56 victory over Minnesota in the Women's Basketball Invitational Tipoff on Saturday.

    Deluzio sparked a 15-2 run in the final minutes with back-to-back 3-pointers at the 6:17 and 5:32 marks.

    Chasity Clayton added 16 points and Cierra Bravard had 11. Natasha Howard pulled down 12 rebounds to lead FSU to a 47-39 advantage on the boards.

    Kiara Buford scored 13 points for Minnesota (1-1) and Katie Loberg had 11 and Rachel Banham 10.

    Clayton scored 10 points in the last 5:06 of the first half to give FSU a 33-32 lead at the break.

    Banham's 3-pointer with 6:39 to play pulled Minnesota within 51-50 before FSU held the Golden Gophers to two points in the next 5:34.
