NEW ORLEANS -- Danielle Blagg's three-point play with 1.6 seconds left lifted Tulane to a 65-62 overtime victory over No. 20 LSU on Saturday night.

"We definitely were the underdogs," said Blagg, a 5-foot-11 freshman who led all scorers with 22 points.

With the score tied at 62, Blagg was fouled by LSU's Krystal Forthan, but muscled the shot in the basket. Blagg then calmly hit a free throw for the final margin.

Olivia Grayson, who was limited to just four first-half minutes due to foul trouble, scored all 21 of her points for the Green Wave (3-0) following intermission and hit 4 of 6 3-pointers.

LaSondra Barrett led the Lady Tigers with 11 points and Forthan added 10.

LSU (2-1) rallied from a 10-point deficit with 11:08 left to send the game into overtime. The Lady Tigers had a chance to win in regulation, but Jeanne Kenney only made 1 of 2 free throws with 1.4 seconds left to tie the game at 58.

Trailing by two in overtime, Forthan hit a jumper to tie the score at 62 with 26 seconds left. That set up Blagg's game-winning play.

The game snapped LSU's streak of 11 consecutive road game victories against Louisiana teams since a 76-72 loss at Tulane on Dec. 31, 2000.

Last year, Tulane snapped LSU's 33-game winning streak against in-state schools with a 54-52 victory in Baton Rouge.

The Lady Tigers lead the all-time series against the Green Wave with a 28-5 record.

LSU was playing its first game since its 51-40 victory against No. 14 Georgetown last Wednesday.
