No. 3 Oklahoma vs. No. 2 Notre Dame

| Voepel | Kansas City used to be one of Sooners coach Sherri Coale's least-favorite places because of how OU struggled there in the early years of the Big 12 tournament. And, no doubt, the Sooners prefer it when the league tourney and a regional are both in nearby Oklahoma City, as was the case last year. But OU played very well in KC in the league tourney this season, falling to Texas A&M in the final. And the Sooners could have the edge in this game because of junior Danielle Robinson's experience advantage over Irish freshman Skylar Diggins. | ![]() |
| Hays | The one player on the court who might have the ability to swing this game all by herself is Skylar Diggins, who showed signs against St. John's in the Big East tournament and Vermont in the second round of the NCAA tournament of taking that next step toward becoming one of the game's elite players. But at some point, you just stop wondering when Oklahoma will look like the sum of its parts and start appreciating how well the whole has played together all season. | ![]() |
| Creme | The Irish just have more balance and more options. | ![]() |
No. 4 Kentucky vs. No. 1 Nebraska
Kansas City Regional: ESPN2/ESPN360.com, 9:30 p.m. ET Sunday

| Voepel | You don't necessarily find a lot of teams that really like to practice but Nebraska is one of them. With six seniors on the roster -- led by Kelsey Griffin, who spent last year as a redshirt soaking up knowledge on the bench -- the Huskers are usually quite good at sticking to their game plan. Kentucky has some dynamic stars, and the SEC is standing proud again in the postseason. But with multiple options and ample time to prepare, Nebraska should prevail. | ![]() |
| Hays | Kentucky has a heralded freshman standout in A'dia Mathies, but Nebraska freshman Lindsey Moore similarly hasn't shown her age through the first two rounds, setting up teammates with 16 assists and hitting three of her five attempts from the 3-point line. If she maintains that poise against Kentucky's man-to-man pressure, Nebraska already has the best player on the court in Kelsey Griffin and enough options to wear down the Wildcats. | ![]() |
| Creme | The Huskers will be pushed, but won't allow themselves to lose yet. | ![]() |
