EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New Jersey Nets on Tuesday recalled swingman Terrence Williams from Springfield (Mass.) of the NBA Development League. Williams was sent down last month, after some lateness violations and other disagreements with the club.

In three games with the Armor, Williams, a former first-round pick out of Louisville, averaged 28 points, 11.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 41.7 minutes. He recorded two triple-doubles, while topping 30 points twice. Williams has played in eight games with the Nets, averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 19.9 minutes.

The Nets play the Hawks in Atlanta on Tuesday night.
