NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Nets will be without starting power forward Kris Humphries for at least the next two games, head coach Avery Johnson said before Sunday evening's game against the Miami Heat.

Humphries (sprained right ankle, bruised right heel) sat out Friday night's 115-90 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He suffered the injuries in Wednesday night's 120-116 loss to the New York Knicks.

"He feels a little better," Johnson said. "But not good enough to play."

Brandan Wright started in Humphries' place.

Humphries is averaging career-highs in both points (10.0) and rebounds (10.4) for the Nets (23-52).
