Trailing 11-10, SFU pushed ahead as Whyatt hit two 3-pointers to spark a 13-3 run. Another pair from beyond the arc by Whyatt and a 3 by Harmon put the Red Flash up 39-22 late in the first half.

LIU Brooklyn pulled within seven in the second half, but SFU countered with a 10-3 run capped by a Brown dunk with 6:22 remaining.
