Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand continues to make progress from a hit that left him paralyzed.

The 20-year-old tweeted Monday: "Twitches going throughout body, coming back."

LeGrand was injured making a tackle on a kickoff return against Army on Oct. 16 at New Meadowlands Stadium. Doctors believed that he would never come off a ventilator and would not walk again.

LeGrand, who continues to go to rehabilitation, is off the ventilator and eating solid foods. He still uses a wheelchair but says that he can now move his arms out to the side.

"When I'm laying down in therapy, there's a board that I put my arms on, I'm able to move my ... right arm out to about 45 degrees by myself and to the left side, about 30 degrees," LeGrand said Tuesday on ESPN's "College Football Live."

LeGrand has been giving steady updates on his progress on Twitter.

Monday he also tweeted: "Thank you for the support, praise God, he is working a miracle. I'll be back."
