Osi Umenyiora will attend the Giants' voluntary offseason training activities this week, according to Newsday.

Umenyiora's agent, Tony Agnone, said the defensive end will "be up there with bells on."

Umenyiora has made it clear that he wants to start this season, while defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka has also said he wants to start opposite Justin Tuck.

After the Giants drafted defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul with the 15th overall pick, Umenyiora reportedly wondered if he would be traded with the team loaded at defensive end.

But Umenyiora, who once threatened to retire if he doesn't start this season, looks to be ready to come in and compete for his old starting job. The Giants have said they will not trade Umenyiora.
