Lawrence Taylor will be one of the 30 players honored in the New York Giants' new Ring of Honor, but the legendary linebacker is not scheduled to attend the ceremony at halftime of Sunday night's game, a league source said.

The former All-Pro linebacker is embroiled in a sex assault case. Taylor is accused of paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old runaway in a Montebello, N.Y., hotel room. Taylor has pleaded not guilty to charges of third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

Phil Simms, Michael Strahan, Tiki Barber, Bill Parcells, Frank Gifford and Pete Gogolak are among the 30 players who will be in the Ring of Honor. They were the only names released by the team, and all six will talk to the media this week about the Ring of Honor at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Simms and Strahan said they will both try to make it to the ceremony on Sunday night after fulfilling their TV obligations for CBS and Fox, respectively.
