The Eagles announced that he has a neck injury, but has full movement of extremities. They later said that the X-rays on Hobbs came back negative.
Players from both teams stood on the field as trainers attended to Hobbs, who fell to the ground on his stomach. He was eventually turned over and moved onto a stretcher, and gave the crowd a thumbs up as he was taken off the field.
Last season, Hobbs, a six-year veteran, missed the final nine games of the season with a neck injury that required surgery.
Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker left the game with a hip injury and was not expected to return.
Parker, who was second on the team in sacks with five, was forced to leave Monday night's win over Washington with the same hip injury. He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, but returned Friday and was back in the lineup for his 96th consecutive start.
Darryl Tapp replaced Parker at left defensive end.
