Damien Woody to have MRI on knee

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Jets right tackle Damien Woody will have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the right knee injury he suffered in the first quarter of the Jets' 10-6 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Woody left the game early in the first quarter and did not return. He said after the game that he'd re-aggravated the right medial collateral ligament injury he originally suffered in Week 11 against the Texans.

"It just locked up, I don't know," Woody said. "I just have to get another MRI [Monday] and see if anything else is going on in there."

Woody was replaced on Sunday by Wayne Hunter, who struggled to contain Miami linebacker Cameron Wake. Wake had two sacks, five tackles overall and forced a fumble.

The entire offensive line had a tough time without Woody. Miami sacked Sanchez six times, accrued eight tackles for loss and forced one fumble by Sanchez. Woody had played in two straight games since he originally suffered the sprained MCL on Nov. 21. But he did not practice last week prior to the Dolphins game and Jets coach Rex Ryan acknowledged last Friday that the injury may have flared up during the week.

"It was tough because of the short week," Woody said.

Veteran Jets offensive lineman Brandon Moore said he was concerned "because he didn't finish the game, but we'll play with the guys we've got."

The Jets also lost defensive tackle Trevor Pryce with a hip injury.
