Drury has been out since the first week of training camp with a broken left index finger.
After practice on Wednesday at the MSG Training Center, Drury said he was 100 percent and ready to play. Rangers coach John Tortorella took things a step further by emphatically stating, "Chris will play on Friday."
As a precaution he will be wearing new gloves that have extra padding in and around the hand area, but other than that, Drury expects to be able to play his usual game.
The captain is coming off a season in which he scored a career-low 14 goals and 32 points as the Rangers failed to advance to the playoffs.
The Rangers are 1-1.
