An MRI exam on Brodeur's bruised right elbow was negative, the team said.
Brodeur took himself out after the second period of Thursday's 3-1 loss at Toronto.
He was examined Friday by the team's doctors, as well as Dr. Steve Beldner, who had operated two years ago on Brodeur's torn left biceps tendon.
"There is nothing structurally [damaged] there," Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said Saturday, according to The Newark Star-Ledger.
Mike McKenna, called up on an emergency basis from AHL Albany, will start Saturday night's game in St. Louis, his hometown.
