Tatis put on DL; Reyes ready

NEW YORK -- The New York Mets have placed utility man Fernando Tatis on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder AC joint sprain.

Left-handed reliever Raul Valdes has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to replace Tatis on the major league roster.

While the Mets are losing Tatis, they are closer to the return of shortstop Jose Reyes. He plans to be back in the lineup Tuesday after missing nearly a week with a sore back.
