Gardner out, Swisher pinch hits vs. KC

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees' regular starting corner outfielders -- left fielder Brett Gardner and right fielder Nick Swisher -- were both out of the starting lineup for Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Kansas City Royals because of health reasons.

Gardner, who suffers from acid reflux, had to go to the hospital Saturday morning after having a particularly bad reaction on Friday after eating a pork chop.
