Andy Pettitte throws bullpen session

NEW YORK -- New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte reported no pain in his injured groin after throwing 35 to 40 pitches in a bullpen session Friday afternoon.

Friday's session was the first time he'd thrown off a mound since suffering a left groin strain in the third inning of a July 17 start against the Tampa Bay Rays.
