Alex Rodriguez in, A.J. Burnett out

NEW YORK -- Third baseman Alex Rodriguez was in the New York Yankees' lineup for Sunday night's game against the Boston Red Sox, but starter A.J. Burnett was scratched due to tightness in his back.

Rodriguez missed Saturday's game after taking a Lance Berkman line drive off his left shin during batting practice. Joe Girardi said Rodriguez felt better Sunday, but the manager did not fully sign off on having A-Rod in the lineup until he made it successfully through pregame warm-ups.
