Francoeur gets his chance with Rangers

After being traded by the Mets in August, veteran outfielder back on New York stage

NEW YORK -- Jeff Francoeur hoped to experience postseason baseball in New York. Of course, the original plan called for that to be with the New York Mets.

Instead, after an Aug. 31 trade to the Texas Rangers, Francoeur is now in the American League Championship Series, which opens Friday in Arlington, Texas, and shifts to the Bronx on Monday.
