Source: Jets skip Moss, Merriman

The New York Jets did not put in waiver claims for wide receiver Randy Moss or linebacker Shawne Merriman, a league source told ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini on Wednesday.

Sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Wednesday that the Tennessee Titans claimed Moss and the Buffalo Bills, who had the first waiver claim, chose Merriman.

That news comes on the heels of a report that Moss met with some Jets players on Tuesday and the team saying it had no contact with the troubled wideout.
