Toomer: Eli Manning can right the ship

NEW YORK -- Amani Toomer watched Eli Manning this season and didn't see his old New York Giants quarterback taking a step forward with his progress.

Manning threw for 4,002 yards and 31 touchdowns but had a league-high 25 interceptions, with some of them going off the hands of his own receivers.

"I think he took a step sideways," Toomer said while signing autographs at the Broadway play "Lombardi" last week. "I think in some ways he got better and in some ways he got worse. ...
