Chris Dickerson (concussion) OK to play

NEW YORK -- Yankees backup outfielder Chris Dickerson has returned to the field of play, three days after he was hit in the head by a fastball that left him with a concussion.

Dickerson entered the Yankees' 7-3 victory over the Mets on Saturday as an eighth-inning defensive replacement for right fielder Nick Swisher. Dickerson did not have an at-bat.

Like other sports, baseball recently implemented new rules regulating when players can return to action following a concussion.
