G Orlando Franklin, WR Stevie Johnson, CB Craig Mager and LB Tourek Williams have been ruled out by Chargers for Monday night's game vs. Steelers. LT King Dunlap did not practice all week due to a concussion and is listed as doubtful.

Pats are heavy favorites in Dallas

The Patriots are 3-0, coming off a bye and will face Brandon Weeden this week. ESPN's Football Power Index thinks that's a recipe for a comfortable New England victory.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

Just like last week, Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) and S Morgan Burnett (calf) have been downgraded from questionable to doubtful. Also, CBs LaDarius Gunter (heel) and Sam Shields (toe) have been added to the injury report and are probable for tomorrow’s game against the Rams.

Ravens promote WR Jeremy Ross from practice squad and release DT Christo Bilukidi. Ross will be in play for punt and kickoff returns.

Swami Sez: NFL Week 5 picks

Cromartie on Beckham: 'A 1-year wonder'

Former NFL WR Terrell Owens on Russillo & Kanell: "I outplayed the No. 1 receiver on two teams I went over to play for."

Gurley primed for another big week

After burning the Cardinals for 146 yards last week, Rams rookie RB Todd Gurley is in line for a repeat performance depending on how the Packers decide to defend the run. More fantasy tips (Insider)

Bills would be wise not to rush McCoy

ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak says waiting until Week 9 for LeSean McCoy to return from his hamstring injury might be Buffalo's best option.

Matthew Berry's Love/Hate Week 5

Eli Manning has been on a hot streak, tossing 7 TDs in his past 3 games. And with the 49ers coming to town, Berry believes it's a recipe for a handful of big plays vs. a team that has allowed the most 20-plus-yard plays this year. Love/Hate Week 5

Seahawks without Lynch again

ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia says Seattle is taking the cautious approach with Marshawn Lynch and by sitting him another week are hoping he'll be ready to go the following week vs. Carolina.

Pete Carroll on Marshawn Lynch: "He's very close, but we can't guarantee that he can make it through the game, so that means we'd get set back again. We're just going to wait it out and see if we can get him right next week." The Seahawks could make a roster move to add RB depth before Sunday. One option is Rod Smith, who is on the practice squad.

Coley Harvey ESPN Staff Writer

Cincinnati's defense caught a big break Friday afternoon when the Seahawks listed RB Marshawn Lynch as out for Sunday's game. All week the Bengals have been under the assumption Lynch would play through his hamstring injury. Their hopes of making Seattle's offense one-dimensional may have gotten a little easier.

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

Tight end Vernon Davis (knee) will miss his second straight game for the 49ers as he has been ruled OUT for Sunday night's game at the New York Giants. Davis was limited in practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Also, outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks is DOUBTFUL as he has been away from the team following his sister's death this week. Receiver Quinton Patton (concussion) and left tackle Joe Staley (knee) are PROBABLE. Staley practiced in a limited fashion Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday.

Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer

Saints LT Terron Armstead and P Thomas Morstead officially ruled out for Sunday's game at Philadelphia. Saints will have to throw first-round draft pick Andrus Peat into the fire at LT for his starting debut. ... G Jahri Evans and DE Bobby Richardson are questionable.

Getting healthier, CJ Spiller ran a route on 76% of his snaps last wk... High upside flex & legit RB2 in PPR vs PHI as Brees keeps it short

Haloti Ngata, Joique Bell and Eric Ebron all OUT for Lions on Sunday. At defensive tackle, with Ngata out and Tyrunn Walker on IR, figure rookie Gabe Wright and second-year DT Caraun Reid to start on the interior. Also of note, SS James Ihedigbo is questionable with a quad injury, as is RG Larry Warford (ankle).
