Not again! Panthers pick has name issue

RB Cameron Artis-Payne, Carolina's 5th-round pick, had to change his nickname when he played with Cam Newton at Auburn, saying it "annoyed" everyone. Well, now he's back playing with Newton and he's hoping he can keep his life-long moniker this time: "I’m going to introduce myself as Cam and we’ll see where it goes from there."

Sources: Eagles fire 3 execs

Chip Kelly continues to remake the franchise shortly after the draft. The Eagles fired director of college scouting Anthony Patch, director of pro personnel Rick Mueller and Southwest area scout Brad Obee. as first reported by the Philadelphia Daily News and confirmed by ESPN.

Collins meets with authorities

La'el Collins met with Baton Rouge police detectives for more than an hour today, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He is not a suspect in the murder investigation around a former girlfriend who was killed. Collins went undrafted in the NFL draft.

Bucs pass on Martin's 5th-year option

Tampa Bay will let RB Doug Martin become an unrestricted free agent in 2016. Martin broke out in his rookie season (1,454 yards, 11 touchdowns), but injuries have made the last two seasons less glorious (950 yards, 3 TD combined).

Falcons want Julio Jones long-term

Cowboys pass on Claiborne's option

Morris Claiborne's fifth-year option was not picked up by Dallas on Sunday. The CB has struggled to stay on the field ever since the Cowboys used the sixth pick of the 2012 NFL draft on him. Claiborne played in parts of four games last year due to a knee injury.
