Week 8: Injury updates/inactives around the NFL
John Clayton provides the latest news on key injuries going into Week 8.
Here's a rundown of some late-breaking news before today's games.
Giants at Vikings: Wide receiver Amani Toomer is healthy and will start for the Giants. Center Shaun O'Hara didn't make the trip, so Wayne Lucier will start in his place. Wide receiver Randy Moss will start and is expected to be involved in 20-30 plays for the Vikings.
Bengals at Titans: Wide receiver Peter Warrick is out for the Bengals. Quarterback Steve McNair was deactivated because of his bruised chest and suited up only as Tennessee's emergency quarterback. Billy Volek will start in his place. Tight end Shad Meier is out. Although running back Chris Brown (turf toe) did not practice and wore a protective boot all week, he felt good enough in pre-game warm-ups and is active.
Lions at Cowboys: Wide receiver Roy Williams and cornerback Fernando Bryant are out for the Lions. Dedric Ward is inactive for the Cowboys meaning Keyshawn Johnson is the only regular receiver in the lineup. Drew Henson is the backup quarterback.
Cardinals at Bills: Defensive tackle Wendell Bryant is inactive for the Cardinals. Renaldo Hill will start in place of cornerback Duane Starks, who is active. Buffalo's Ross Tucker starts for center Trey Teague.
Colts at Chiefs: Cornerback Nick Harper is healthy and will start for the Colts. Vonnie Holliday was benched and Jared Allen will get start at right defensive end for the Chiefs. Cornerback Dexter McCleon is out with a hamstring injury.
