Eagles defense could get boost with Taylor's return

PHILADELPHIA -- Pro Bowl cornerback Bobby Taylor could play for the Eagles against the Giants on Sunday for the first time since straining he strained his left foot in the season opener against Tampa Bay.

Taylor reported no soreness in the foot Thursday and practiced with the first-string defense, a day after working with the scout team.

Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson said Lito Sheppard will start, but Taylor is healthy enough to contribute.
