Jaguars release LB Slaughter

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - One day after being arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at two men in a passing car, T.J. Slaughter has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Slaughter spent several hours in jail on Monday before being released on $5,000 bond. If prosecuted, he could face a misdemeanor charge of improper exhibition of a firearm or a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The fourth-year linebacker denied comment when approached at Jaguars headquarters.
