Eagles place Thomas on IR, sign veteran Flanigan

PHILADELPHIA -- Defensive lineman Hollis Thomas was placed on injured reserve by Philadelphia on Tuesday and the Eagles signed veteran Jim Flanigan to take his place.

Thomas tore his left biceps in the final minute of Philadelphia's victory over the New York Jets.
