Redskins RB Portis undergoes surgery for broken hand
ASHBURN, Virginia - Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis will be sidelined for three to four weeks after undergoing surgery for a broken right hand on Monday.
Portis had three screws inserted into his right ring finger. He is expected to wear a cast for at least a week before continuing his rehabilitation.
The injury is another major blow for the Redskins (3-6), who are mired in last place in the NFC East.
