Peppers out vs. Cowboys, stops consecutive games streak at 78

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers had his streak of consecutive games played snapped at 78 when he was inactive for Saturday night's game against Dallas with a sprained right knee.

Peppers hasn't practiced since suffering the injury in last weekend's win over Seattle. Peppers, who has been held to three sacks this season and failed to make the Pro Bowl for the first time in four years, was replaced by rookie Charles Johnson in the starting lineup.
