NFL fines Titans' Haynesworth $5K for hit on Chargers' Rivers

Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been fined $5,000 by the NFL for what the league deemed an unnecessary hit on San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers in last week's 17-6 wild card-round defeat.

The play in question occurred with about four minutes remaining in the third quarter and with San Diego facing a second-and-seven at the Tennessee 44-yard line.
