Niners agree to two-year contract with Sims

The San Francisco 49ers beat out the rival St. Louis Rams for the services of former Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Barry Sims.
Sims agreed to a two-year deal but financial terms weren't available. Though not promised a chance to start, Sims is expected to compete for playing time at right tackle. Sims, 33, is entering his 10th season. He is a 6-foot-5, 305-pound blocker with left tackle experience. John Clayton is a senior writer for ESPN.com.Read full story
