Cardinals to kick off season with Warner in control at QB
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Experience beat out potential in the fight for starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Saturday that Kurt Warner would be the starter over Matt Leinart when Arizona opens its season Sept. 7 at San Francisco.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen first reported Warner would be the starter on Aug. 24.
