MIAMI -- The Jets' Mike Nugent left Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins in the first quarter with a thigh injury.
New York was temporarily without a kicker on the roster until he returned in the second half, and then on Monday sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Nugent would be out at least a week with a right quadriceps injury.
His injury led the team to then sign Jay Feely. The club auditioned three players Monday afternoon: Dave Rayner, Aaron Elling and Feely.
