Dungy proved quiet inspiration wins, too

The most revealing story I ever heard about Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy occurred shortly after his son James committed suicide in December 2005.
Dungy was preparing for his first practice with his team after taking a weeklong break, and none of the players knew what to expect from him. Longtime Colts coach Tony Dungy announced his retirement Monday. In 13 seasons as a head coach, seven in Indianapolis and six with Tampa Bay, he ranks 19th all-time with 148 career wins.
