Spicer, Saints agree to deal

The New Orleans Saints reached a one-year agreement Tuesday with former Jacksonville defensive end Paul Spicer, making him to the second former Jaguar to join their defensive line in two years.

Spicer started 52 games over the past four seasons for the Jaguars, who cut him before the start of free agency.

His best seasons were in 2005 and 2007 when he had 7½ sacks. During his 10-year Jaguars career, Spicer had 28½ sacks.
